Alexander Shadrin
Painter, graphic artist

Born on January 22, 1968 in Volgograd.

From 1985 to 1993 is studying at the department of modern painting of the Faculty of Arts of the State University of Izhevsk (UdSU). 1986-1989 serves in the USSR Navy, Northern Fleet, Severomorsk
During his studies, he experiments in various painting styles, comprehending and passing through himself the philosophy of each of these artistic phenomena: from ancient rock paintings to the avant-garde. He copies the classics of Russian painting of the 19th century, attaching great importance to this in his education.

By 1994, his own original style had formed, corresponding to his creative temperament and understanding of art.

He calls his direction in art PERCEPTUAL (figurative-sensual).

Since 1993, he begins exhibition activities.

Since 1995 he has lived in Kazan. Holds more than 40 personal exhibitions. Since 2009, he has been participating in international “ART SALON”, the exhibition “MOSCOW-ST. PETERSBURG”, the All-Russian exhibition “RUSSIA IX”, the exhibition “CLASSICS AND MODERNITY” in the Central House of Artists and Manege in Moscow, “250 years of the Russian Academy of Arts”, exhibition Bolshaya Volga, Eurasian Festival of Contemporary Art 2013-2016, Art Russia Nizhny Novgorod 2018-2023, Art Perm 2010-2021, International Art project “We came in large numbers” St. Petersburg 2020, Art Contact Istambul-2023, Big Volga 2023, exhibition at the Representative Office of Tatarstan in Turkey, Istanbul 2023, and other republican, Russian and international projects.
Alexander Shadrin created more than 2000 works.
In 1999, his works “Lovers” and “Valentine’s Day” were included in the all-Russian catalog “RUSSIA-IX”.
In 2000, it was included in the directory of the Unified Art Rating of Russia.

In 2000-2004, he furthered his education at the Creative Workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts, headed by Kh. A. Yakupov.

Since 2003 - member of the Union of Artists of Russia and Tatarstan.
Since 2000, he has been conducting master classes for artists and art lovers.
2010 - organizes the international traveling art project “Masha stays with her grandmother.” The purpose of which is to unite authors whose creative journey began in Soviet times and, despite the dashing 90s and the steep market 2000s, these artists managed to maintain their creative individuality. In each city developed by the project, new authors join the association. Preference is given to artists working in an authentic direction, revealing the diversity of the culture of the peoples of Russia. His idea is to make the talented and original fashionable. The exhibition of the project was held in Perm, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Rostov-on-Don, Tyumen, Nizhnevartovsk, Yekaterinburg, Alma-Ata.
In 2012 he was awarded a silver medal by the Russian Academy of Arts.
In 2012 he was awarded the prize named after. N.I. Feshin for plastic merits in academic art of the Russian Academy of Arts.
